2011 Autumn Sale Report – 24th February
The inaugural offering of SimAngus bulls sold to good demand, selling to a top of $4750 and averaging 3855 for 9 bulls. As always Barwidgee was very well supported by return buyers, with many bulls staying in the local area. We also welcomed a number of new buyers.
Demand for bulls suitable for heifer joining was strong, with cattle prices so strong and plenty of grass; a number of breeders are retaining extra heifers. With birth weight records since 1960 and accurate weighing of over 600 calves at birth every year, Barwidgee produces progeny with highly accurate predictable performance. These bulls are ideal for heifer mating.
